The Rochester International Film Festival offers four distinct screenings each Spring at George Eastman Museum’s famed Dryden Theatre in Rochester NY. Established in 1959, our fest is one of the longest running short film festivals in the world. RIFF has consistently been voted “Best Local Film Festival” by readers of CITY Magazine since 2014.

Entrants continue to astound us, creating magic while sometimes operating on shoestring budgets! After each program audience members have a chance to ask attending filmmakers how they go about creating their magic.
Our 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit is funded by grants, sponsorship, program advertising and generous donations from attendees.

Board of Directors

The Rochester International Film Fest is overseen by a volunteer board of directors from the community. We’re a hands-on board, busy year-round screening films, promoting the festival, presenting community programs, raising funds, and working with the many volunteers needed to present a successful festival. We’re always looking for new talent to contribute to RIFF’s operation.
